September 28, 2007:Rebecca reads her bike trip essay at TACWT (Texas Assoc. of Creative Writing Teachers) conference. September 7, 2007:Rebecca reads an essay about biking 1300 miles while pregnant. Granbury, TX's Langdon Weekend with a group of Tarrant County College colleagues. June 4, 2007:Poets of Tarrant County invite Rebecca to present a program on revising poems in Fort Worth, TX. April 14, 2007:University of Texas at Dallas celebrates National Poetry Month, and invites Rebecca to read her poetry in Richardson, TX. March 24, 2007: Rebecca presents a lecture and workshop for North Texas Professional Writers' "Doing it Write." November 9-10, 2006: Rebecca gives a reading of her poems at Del Mar Community College and Sinton High School in Corpus Christi, TX. SHS Visit and Photos May 13, 2006: Rebecca presents "Creating an Experience for the Reader" to North Texas Professional Writers Association as part of "From Prose to Poetry," a half-day workshop. Photo November 10-12, 2005: Rebecca presents her paper, ``Creative Writing Across the Curriculum,'' at CCHA's national conference in Boston, MA. (Community College Humanities Association) September 8-9, 2005: Rebecca reads and leads a panel of creative writing teachers at the Langdon Weekend in Granbury, TX. August 16, 2005: North Texas Professional Writers host Rebecca as a Visiting Editor of creative non-fiction. April 6, 2005: Undermain Theatre at 3200 Main St. in Dallas, TX hosts a Poetry Reading by local poets, including Rebecca. This project presented by WordSpace. January, 2005: New World United Methodist Church presents Rebecca for five Sundays speaking on parenting and strengthening the family. She will read from her non-fiction essays on motherhood and share strategies that her family is trying with success. September 8-11, 2004: The Langdon Review presents the Langdon Weekend in Granbury, TX. Workshops, a master class, readings, and other events for writers and creators will take place at the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural and Educational Center.
